Last summer, my husband and I visited several places in and around the Bernese Oberland area of Switzerland. A highlight of our trip was spent in the car-free village of Murren, high in the Swiss Alps. The vistas were stunning. On two different days, we left our Bed & Breakfast, took the cog train up to the top and hiked down via the North Face and Mountain View hikes. Both of us felt as if we were walking through a colorful fairy tale. It was stunningly beautiful in every direction. Here are a few images from these two hikes, which started and ended in Murren.
