During the Covid-19 quarantine, I looked for ways I could help out while serving some of our community’s most vulnerable citizens. In exchange for contributions to local charities (i.e. Edmond Mobile Meals, the Regional Food Bank, Infant Crisis Services, etc.), I donated my time and photography skills to capture families on their front porches or yards. Social distancing was exercised using a telephoto lens. From early March through Mother’s Day weekend, a total of 46 families were photographed with an estimated $2500 in contributions to local charities. A special thanks to my church, Acts 2 United Methodist Church and its members, who jumped onboard immediately to help out. Another thanks to my friends Kay and Mark Harsha who organized front porch photos for their northwest OKC neighborhood; that evening we photographed 12 different families from Warwick Estates. Thanks to everyone from Warwick Estates, my neighborhood and many others who participated and donated to make a difference for our community members in need.
