I recently received a call from an anxious bride-to-be who had gotten my contact information from a mutual acquaintance. Given some family health issues, she and her fiancé decided in lieu of a big wedding, they’d drive from Texas to Oklahoma for an elopement at the OKC County Court House chapel. Her family — parents, grandmother, sister and spouse — drove from Nebraska to meet his parents and the happy couple in OKC for the event. Given the impending ice storm forecast for the day of the wedding (which did occur with a vengeance), the original photographer was understandably no longer comfortable being present. After a brainstorming session aimed at finding the best time and place to capture a few family photos before the ice storm, we agreed to meet at a local park. It was very cool that day, so casual attire was chosen in lieu of wedding attire. Here are a few of the images taken the day before they were wed. What a beautiful couple and two great families. Congrats, Hannah and Justin!
