In November 2019, my husband and I returned to the South Island of New Zealand after our first visit more than 20 years ago. During our first visit, we fell in love with the South Island and have always wanted to return. We spent several days in Queenstown, a great base to re-explore and discover many areas in and around the city, which has had tremendous growth from the sleepy little town we remembered. A shout out to Hidden Lodge, an incredible bed and breakfast we felt fortunate to find via some extensive online research. The staff, service, meals and rooms were absolutely top notched and the views, some of which are included here, were stunning.
