Charming and Rustic Glenorchy, New Zealand

A 45-minute drive from Queenstown, this charming, sleepy little town is on the way to, and minutes from, Paradise Valley. Both areas are said to provide backdrops for the Lord of the Rings productions. It is set on Lake Wakatipu and the Dart River. Many buildings are preserved, and it’s like stepping back in time.
