While staying on the beautiful Isle of Mull in June, we visited the picturesque harbor town of Tobermory, with its rainbow colored houses and shops. It is said to be one of the most photographed town in the isles. It’s easy to see why. We enjoyed eating there a couple of times, grabbing take-out once from famous pub, browsing the shops on the main street and visiting the iconic Tobermory Scotch Distillery, where we toured and tasted. Mull gets 300 days of rainfall and is very lush and beautiful. It reminded my husband and me of a combination of New Zealand and Iceland, due to its lushness, ruggedness, and mountains. And, like these two places, it is also an island so gets a lot of wind and weather changes. Beautiful ancestral lands.
