Mount Cook and the New Zealand Countryside

This set of images focuses on the Mount Cook area, and the four-hour hike we took during our brief two-day stay there. Its paradise shelducks are unique to New Zealand and are large and goose-like; the males have black heads and bodies, while the females have white heads with chestnut colored bodies. We also these ducks in (of course) Paradise Valley, outside of Queenstown. Other images included in this set are of Lake Tekapo and the New Zealand countryside, which I thought looked a lot like Tuscany with its vivid green rolling hills. We were especially excited to revisit Lake Tekapo, which we remembered from our trip to New Zealand 20 plus years ago.  Lake Pukaki, in the Mount Cook area, is known for it exceptional blue color. The blues reminded us the turquoise water in Bora Bora. I’m close to completing my New Zealand images from our November trip. I hope you enjoy these. Any image on my website can be converted into art for your home or office. Contact me if you have questions. sheryl@sherylmclain.com.
