Located between the towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino, we had lunch in this charming little town known for its delicious variety of pecorino cheese (served with honey). Before and after lunch, my camera and I browsed. Around every corner was an image begging to be captured. In 1996, UNESCO declared the town a World Heritage Site, and then, in 2004, the entire valley of Val d’Orcia was included on UNESO’s World Cultural Landscapes. This was our first visit, and hopefully will not be our last. Here are some of my favorite images from that afternoon.
